You cannot imitate the nature of Jesus— it is either in you or it is not.
~ Oswald Chambers
I bought a kitchen timer several months ago, and the instructions were English… Sort of. The words were English, but it was very difficult to make sense of. The only thing that makes sense is that the manufacturers had used some sort of translating software to translate from their native tongue to English. The words were translated reasonably correctly, but there was something wrong.
You can learn the vernacular and fake it, but there always seems to be something wrong when someone talks about topics that they may have heard about but have not experienced.
Advertising is much the same way. Like the Shibboleth story in the book of Judges, the listener will intuitively discern if the language is not natural, and most likely reject it—if not subconsciously.
